0285. Stevie Wonder
Innervisions

Almost entirely a solo effort, Stevie played almost all instruments on almost every track here. And as a whole, Innervisions is a bit too embroidered and not as great as the previous release, Talking Book, but still a good album.
The driving funk of Higher Ground, the narrative of Living For The City and He's Misstra Know-It-All makes this an above average album (even though the sub par song Too High is on it. I don't now why, but it sounds like lounge music).
Just days after the release of Innervisions, Stevie was in a near-fatal car-accident and lay in a coma for days. Luckily he recovered and, with a new sense of purpose, set out to record Fulfillingness First Finale'.
