0983. The Rolling Stones
Let It Bleed

So, to summarize: while the competition in The Beatles released children's songs and songs about serial killers, the Stones came up with another album about sexing de ladies. And it's the sound that The Black Crowes has searched for ever since.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good album, but the Stones feel a bit like Motörhead - you just know what to expect, a couple of killers and a filler or two.

The main killer here is You Can't Always Get What You Want, a track that probably swallowed half the production budget (totally worth it, by the way) and …seriously, is he singing "we all need someone we can cream on / and if you want to, well you can cream on me" in the title track?

Well, that's cause for a double-take if any. How the heck did that get past the moral majority?
