Exile In Guyville
I got a bit bemused when I listened to this. Partly cause my expectation on this album was a bit more punk rock (the sleeve photo isn't exactly what I'd call non-aggressive or "holding back") and partly cause it sounds like it loses it's tempo after a little while.
As in a couple of bars into the first track.
The music's kinda dull and while the lyrics are described as being "emotionally honest" (both in the book and on the Wikipedia-page) I'm just not feeling them either.
At the moment I don't really see why Exile In Guyville should be on anyones "must hear"-list. I think I was expecting something more P.J. Harveyish. Dämnit...
