0947. Pere Ubu
The Modern Dance

Pere Ubu quit music just the other month. As this is their debut album, we can easily calculate it to about three and a half decades in the business, and that's actually pretty impressive. But on to the album!
Where I saw Dub Housing as lacking due to the singer, this one got me thinking I might have misheard something, cause almost everything I complained about regarding David Thomas is irrelevant here: he keeps in sync with the music and sound like he's working with the music and not against it.
I might have to re-listen to Dub Housing to hear what the hell happened in the ten months between the two releases (or is it me that's changed?).
One thing though: is it deliberate use of static in the title track, or do I just have a damaged copy with genius results?
