With only four tracks, this could easily have been an EP, but as this is progressive rock turning on jazz, it's of course a double album and it takes about forty minutes (or the whole first disc) until the first word is sung.

And that's about where the album goes awry, cause while disc one Facelift and Slightly All The Time were experimental in pushing the band's understanding of free form jazz and sound engineering (loops, backmasking and such), disc two's Moon In June is pseudo-experimental following of a meandering singer's stream of random lyrics (claimed to be a pastiche of earlier works) which makes me understand why it's the last lyric-bearing track they ever recorded. Also, the vocalist drummer had to complete the recording on his own as the rest of the band were "uninterested" in finishing it.

At least the album finishes on an okay note with Out-Bloody-Rageous.
