Music Has The Right To Children
A Scottish duo taking their name from a Canadian film production agency (sort of), which they also sampled a documentary from.
With a bunch of found sound, loops and beats this could
have been another artsy project, but they manage to keep
it interesting.
Maybe not interesting enough to be one of the top 1001
albums, but interesting enough to keep playing for a good
amount of spins.
Competent electronica, sometimes invoking the spirit of Eighties SciFi, but apart from that not so engaging.
[Fact check: Oh, apparently they were the ones who invigorated the electronica genre and pushed it in a more cerebral/emotional direction. Good on 'em!]
