So here's a band that sounds like they're in the demo stages, with a singer that can't really sing (not for the lack of trying, mind you), and a couple of songs that sounds a little too similar to each other pressed on the same album.
And I love it to bits.
With their second album, the Psychedelic Furs managed to not only have a saxophone on the songs and sound good (actually sounds like something from Roxy Music at times), but also inspire John Waters to make a movie, as well as getting a couple of hits out of it.
Pretty In Pink's the big one, but Dumb Waiters sort of floored me on the first listen. And you know what? There's not a bad track on the album!
