I did not expect this. At all.
The former Can bassist's second solo album
starts with Cool In The Pool, a discofunk track with a seriously
bad German accent.
Then he smashes an Eighties Sci-Fi soundtrack into it (and as this is an album from '79 you could say he's a bit ahead of his time). Also: there's samples from short-wave radio and difficult tempo and genre swings.
This is most definitely an album I wouldn't recommend to anyone interested in music for its listenability, but very well could pull out and play for people who likes things that kind of sideswipes you.
