The Colour Of Spring
I actually don't know what to say about this album other than start with it's both interesting and dull and try to wing it from there.
The singer's mode makes the whole album feel blunted, as if the emotions expressed are through a wall of cotton. Sort of knowing feelings only on the intellectual and not corporeal level.
While only Life's What You Make It and Living In Another World were released as singles, I feel that I Don't Believe In You is the better song with it's almost yearning / accusing tonme. [fact check: Life's What You Make It claims to have "borrowed" bits from both Running Up That Hill and Green Onions with the expressed purpose of creating a hit. Another reason it's not the prime cut.]
The attempt at hymn-creating in April 5th it mostly painful though, but the ending of Chameleon Day is a good little piece of Eighties' sci-fi soundtrack, though.
