The Yes Album

Just shy of being as impressive as the follow up, this third release packs some good tunes with both length and great musicianship.
It takes me a while into the anti-war song I've Seen All Good People part one (Your Move) to fully hear the low background chant of "All we are saying, is give peace a chance", but I haven't found anyone explaining why they borrowed Lennon's lyric (apart from it too being anti-war, of course).
While a child's birth is always cause for celebration, it's not always motivated to add that celebration to vinyl. Don't get me wrong - Clap, dedicated to guitarist Steve Howe's baby son, is a good countryesque instrumental, but to the rest of the album it's like a right shoe on the left foot.
But all in all, this breakthrough is well worth a couple of listens.
