This is the debut album of shoegazer extraordinaires My Bloody Valentine. though, to be honest, in some places it sounds more like Dinosaur Jr than anything else.

And as I didn't really enjoy the other MBV album I find this, where they seem a bit less polished / eccentric to be a bit of a doze-off.

So, well they set the bar for shoegazer pop, but that's a genre that's never truly appealed to me. (what did appeal, was the reviewer in 1001 Albums You Must Hear… said that Ride was just a copy cat act without the talent - should it really have been in the same book then?)
