Timeless

To be frank, the title of this album doesn't really reflect the content. It's almost there, but some elements of the music are just too much of a timestamp.

Still, you can't deny that Goldie's fusion of jungle, d'n'b and strings continue to pull on the club nerve. Inner City Life (part of the Timeless suite) is a classic, and together with among other vocalists Diane Charlemagne from Urban Cookie Collective, if you remember them, Goldie creates an ambient feel throughout the album (blending very well with the breakbeats).

While not as brilliant as Roni Size/Reprazent, Timeless still is a double album worth a bunch of spins (even though I unfortunately only had the single-CD at my disposal for this). And it's nice to see that even bad boy DJ's have a heart, as the track Kemistry is dedicated to Goldie's once-girlfriend, the one who got him into DJ-ing in the first place, DJ Kemistry.
