0754. Daft Punk
Homework
You know how I hate house? Well, it's a truth with some modification - or rather: with a sufficiently modified house the truth still stands (in a way) while at the same time letting me find some house deviations acceptable.
As for this, Daft Punk's debut is okay, it's got a couple of good tracks and is credited both with getting people to notice the French progressive house scen as well as by large reviving the international house scene (that's really making some waves for a duo that started out in a Beach Boys inspired punk band).
It gets more purely dancefloor towards the end, with tracks like Burnin' and Indo Silver Club (the latter probably being the most overt house track on the album alongside Revolution 909).
So, to recap: hits in the front, club tracks in the back. Just take your pick if you're so inclined.
