Want Two
So, Want Two finally showed up, just three hundred and some albums later after (and a bit more on the blue side than) Want One. And once again, Rufus is all over the place musically. From ballads to baroque to pop, but he still sounds so blasé, though.
I think one of the tracks could easily crossfaded into Paranoid Android by Radiohead - very similar aaahs going on there. The ending duet, Old Whore's Diet (with Anthony from Anthony And The Johnsons), vulgar as it is, is also a nice piece of varied music (this time with a bit of reggae-rhythm to it).
But the best is still the second track, The One You Love, which unfortunately he never regains that height again on the album, but then again, he's pretty high to start with.
