Ash came out of an Iron Maiden coverband and the skill that's in demand for playing that stuff live shows, but here comes the sad part: this style of pop - with "quirky" themes and slickly executed punk / rock riffs - is a truly irritating genre.

They're listed as Alternative rock, power pop, punk rock, pop punk, Britpop, indie rock, and grunge, but the majority of those are just the genres they fake into it.

Starting on a high note wth a sample from Star Wars and ending in the gutter with a recording of the band throwing up as a hidden "bonus" track.

Still, they of course sold a lot and got a carreer out of it.
