Speaking of New Wave bands, the Talking Heads make a welcome return to the list. This time it's their not-completely-eponymous-but-almost debut Talking Heads: 77, released in 1977 (of course). And while not a multimillion seller it's an album with bouncy, puttering music and a jittery voice (with a limited range that gives the album an edge for the most part, but in Pulled Up it gets almost painful).

Here we can also see how collaboration within the band can make tracks become outstanding. The lyrics of all songs on the album are written by the singer, David Byrne, except for the one that became their break-through.
Written by Byrne, bassist Tina Weymoputh and drummer Chris Franz, Psycho Killer is a tour through the brain of a, well, psycho killer as he goes through the cycle of murders.
A song that's become a staple in pop-culture as well as still being cool, thirty-five years later.
