0556. Tim Buckley
Goodbye And Hello
Tim Buckley's third album album on the list takes a middle ground in between Greetings From L.A.'s "sex funk" fiasco (didn't remember I referenced this album in that review - cool) and Happy Sad's more enthralling songs.
But, while every other song is nicely played folk rock, every other song is severely pretentious mideval.
The renaisance faire songs almost gets me going off on a tangent, forgetting to mention No Man Can Find The War and Pleasant Street, two of the songs that make this an album to hear. Cause yes, Tim's range is impressive and his voice can soar above anything, but it's when he combines it with focused music and lyrics that we can find some common ground.
