0540. Belle And Sebastian
Tigermilk

I've always been skeptical (to put it mildly) towards
Belle & Sebastian. What I've heard and the people who
I associate with listening to the band have never made
for a good impression.
Good thing then that I'm on a mission here, so that
any old wrongs might be righted, yes?
Well, both yes and no, cause while it's not as horrid as I had made it out to be, it's still kind of pointless indie pop. Don't get me wrong - I can see why the indie kids and music press like it like it was the second coming.
The one track I do find enticing, even though the intro partly sounds like a Euro-disco beat, is Electronic Renaissance [fact check: apparently it's based on Procession by New Order, so I guess Belle And Sebastian still have to prove to me they can make exciting music].
