Psalm 69: The Way To Succeed And The Way To Suck Eggs
I'd only heard a couple of tracks off this one before, among them the withdrawal-epos Just One Fix (sampling Frank Sinatra and featuring William S. Burroughs in the video), and gleefully enough most of the rest of the tracks keep to (almost) the same level (at least after the second listen when my ears have stopped bleeding).
And the first thing that comes to mind when listening is The Bomb Squads productions for Public Enemy, cause Ministry's got the same intense and chaotic approach to making music. Okay, so this is with much more distorted guitars, but still: musically this has more in common with PE than with Throbbing Gristle.
Named after a chapter in Alastair Crowley's Book Of Lies, this album has got the title Head 69 spelled out in Greek letters, but as it's a distinct minority of industry fans in the U.S. who knows Greek it soon got the alternative name of Psalm 69 (after the song of the same name).
