So, an album that boasts two hits about binge
drinking and buying women, you say?
I can't help but think that this is yet another
album by yet another band that sounds so very
much better if you just cant understand what the
hell they're singing.
So, I'll try to block it out for a while then.
The blues-rock they play is in many ways pretty
standard, but here and there it gleams, like in
Beer Drinkers And Hell Raisers and their first
really successful single: La Grange, about the
(in)famous "best little whorehouse in Texas".
La Grange's got one of the best blues rhythms of
the album (although "borrowed" from Boogie Chillen),
and everything after it just pales in comparison.
But then there's that nagging lyrical content...
