0467. Van Morrison
It's Too Late To Stop Now
Holy tuxedo! One and a half hours of Van Morrison live in concert isn't the
easiest thing to put in words.
With recordings from three gigs in The U.S.
and U.K., this double album features the eleven piece backup band Caledonia
Soul Orchestra.
The eighteen tracks on the double-album are a wide selection of both his own material and songs that inspired him, but strangely Brown Eyed Girl was omitted (even though performed on the concerts). Sadly, Moondance was also left out, this one due to a misplayed note somewhere and Van's refusal to overdub - which made this (one of) the first live album(s) without later polishing by studio musicians.
Also, it's a damn good representation of how a damn good live set should be performed.
