The Velvet Underground
When it was time for The Velvet Underground to record their third album they both managed to change label, style and a band-member as John Cale left and Doug Yule entered.
I don't know if it's the legend surrounding them or if it's the music in it self, but for the most part of this album I get the feeling that it's four heroin addicts in a run down apartment with a tape-recorder and some instruments. Cause this might for the most part very well be the album with the least amount of tempo this far on the list.
But that doesn't mean it's dull. There's a slow momentum gained for every note played and it's making this album slowly, but surely, force its way into the top levels of music (even though percussionist Maureen Tucker can't sing).
