0279. Air
Moon Safari
This album by the French duo isn't only notable because of it being their debut, but also for having the clarification "French band" by the title - must feel great to have to point out that they're not the Air you've already heard of, but the "French band".
And as much as I'd like to I can't really enjoy this album. It's not that it's bad, cause they know what to do and how to do it, but they can't make the songs stick in my head. Or well, rather that the ones that do stick gets played out pretty quickly. I grew tired of the pseudo-erotic "sexi bööy" kinda fast after the single hit.
As for the other songs I'm pretty sure that Kelly, Watch The Stars! would have gone the same way if I'd heard it enough times, and while You Make It Easy easily could have been a Madonna-ballad from one of her later albums, the two tracks that kind of stand out are the instrumental Talisman and the third single, All I Need, which is good while I listen to it, but passes out of my head like butter on a hot Teflon surface.
Their retro-fitted electronic pop is just too slick for me.
