0235. Steve Winwood - Arc Of A Diver
This is labelled "soft rock" and, well, yes. This doesn't get me excited in any way.
Saying that it sounds like some of the lamer eighties-stuff from Genesis might give you a hint of the scope of the heresy Winwood commits against rock'n'roll.
It takes me a while to realise this: on most pictures I've seen of Steve Winwood he's posing with a guitar, but it isn't until Slowdown Sundown I can actually hear one being played. I wonder if he's masked it to sound like a keyboard all along - cause it wouldn't surprise me.
This is magnificently boring.
