Appetite For Destruction
One of the biggest selling debuts of all time, Appetite For Destruction is fifty-four minutes of sleaze-rock (yep, that's the official genre here) that could have been condensed into at most half an hour to deserve it's reputation.
The three major hits Welcome To The Jungle, Paradise City and Sweet Child O' Mine share space with bottom-feeders like It's So Easy and Mr. Brownstone. The rest? Good enough.
But they did get a cult following and they'll propagate Appetite... as "the greatest album EVAR" (by cult I mean cult, check out some of the comments on this albums discussion-page on Wikipedia).
In short it's an album with some good, some okay and some filler, but I don't really see what all the rave reviews were about.
