Lost Souls
Well, it wasn't long ago that Doves were on the list, but this time it's a whole lot better. Just like on the latter album the instrumental intro is the track where they excel, There are still traces of Coldplaygiarism here, like in the title track, but up till then it's pretty acceptable.
Maybe not surprising it's on the less layered tracks it gets interesting, like Melody Calls and The Man Who Told Everything, but they manage to take it too far there too, as A House sounds more like a half-finished demo.
Lost Souls is not a great album, but better than their follow up.
