I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight
This album intrigued me from the instant I saw the sleeve as I, due to the family setting of the duo, was kind of expecting something along the lines of The Carpenters (who, I assume, would never have released an album with visuals reminiscent of slasher-films).
This British folk-rock couple sadly didn't live up to my expectations - the darkness of the themes doesn't reflect in the music, a blend of folk pop and some elements of rock. But as it seems I'm more enticed by Swedish folk than the British equivalent, cause while it's amusing hearing sixteenth century instruments clashing with electric guitars on songs about modern day life I don't really agree that it's a "must hear"-album.
