Man, I've been looking everywhere for this! The random page generator pulled this one a couple of months ago, but it's taken me up until this week to get hold of it. So it was worth the wait then, right?
Well, it kind of is and kinda ain't. Even though it isn't as enticing as Baaba's team up with Mansour Seck, partly because of some cheezy synth-/saxophone-sounds on some of the songs. Not surprising my favourite tracks are the ones like Daande Lenol, which is more stripped down and without the attempts at creating a fusion of the traditional with the modern, but instead a fusion of the senegalese and celtic traditions. In that aspect the album's almost like a demo-tape for styles he pulled off much better on later albums.
