0036. Fleetwood Mac
Rumours

Finally, an album as old as me! Released just days after my birth Rumours is Fleetwood Mac's eleventh studio album and chronicles the breakup between - well - between everybody it seems. As might be expected from the situation the general theme of the album is love, strained relationships and breakups. At times it gets a bit artsy, but still with huge chunks of integrity.
The only songs I don't like are You Make Loving Fun and I Don't Want To Know. Maybe it's just because they veer off from the beaten path and goes into the happier side of town lyricwise or maybe it's the veering combined with a less advanced composition than most of the other songs [fact check: I Don't Want to Know was written long before the rest of the tracks thus wasn't affected by the turmoil within the band]. Compared to the (also) optimistic Don't Stop and of course the break-up mega-hit You Can Go Your Own Way the difference is more than just an vague impression. That difference in songstandard is a little bit annoying, but all in all Rumous still is a good album.
